Why isn't the best birthday gift for myself never someone giving me a handy- No, wait. *laughs*
Why isn't the best birthday gift for myself a new music release, I must say, and I think I said that a decade ago when this happened. But now that my birthday once again landed on the day of Japan's new releases once again, let's go back to our roots in Klassic Note and talk about Ajikan TrySail and Mocho from a decade ago!! *laughs* Hey Ajikan that wasn't my fault your new single isn't as great, but seeing the much of setup for these releases to catch my attention and even appear on this day, I guess Klassic Note is just idolism now. *giggles*
But I think it's worth enforcing what I like and how broken my review system works, so let's! Haha it has already been 10 years, huh. Kinda nostalgic though, I gotta say.
FIVE STARS FOR ALL MA GIRLS!!! *laughs* Twice for Mocho, by the way. *dabs*

TrySail - Sonna Bokura no Boukentan! [Single]
![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
First Press Limited Edition | Regular Edition | Anime Limited Edition |
(I like this trend where the Regular Editions have the close-ups and that's all I have asked for in the history of Klassic Note so thank you so much I'm blessed)
Wow, I still cannot believe how long I have been listening to voice actress idol group as they are from the MusicRay'n 2nd generation of "super idol voice actors" starring (from left to right on cover) Natsukawa Shiina, Asakura Momo and Amamiya Sora, they have only been breaking grounds with their performance ever since their official artist debut back in 2015. Celebrating their 10th anniversary with a Budokan live, this new single represents a lot about them and what they stand for in the Anime industry itself, and I also believe, what they mean for me listening to idol groups in general. It's no different from what they usually do, but this is more staple than also sentimental of an occasion to be talking about them, coming so far since the past decade, reminiscing on what they do best. I think I will make clear of what when we are done with this adventure.
(1) Sonna Bokura no Boukentan! [Trans.: Such Is Our Story!]
From the first chorus:
"Such is our story! There's no way (we) wouldn't enjoy (ourselves)The incomplete sparkles, (we) gather them together and (together they) will shineWe don't know what will come out of this, not just friends but as comradesThe fears of the future, let's discover and laugh (together)"
Being an Anime ending theme song, it's cheerful, hearty, adventurous, among many other things that they are trying to portray, all in a short music piece that doesn't overstay its welcome. My first impressions are plagued with what I know them best of which I didn't take fancy, so it took some time to be able to get into their much varied style though general in melody, almost drawing us in into the journey they embark with their singing. The lyrics are what definitely made this song stand out, though simple, it tells a story of adventure and moving forward together, a very positive outlook of what the group stood to be achieving all these years. For me, this became an easy give once you remember the times I have been with them, listening to their classics and such, it's just a great journey.
Rating: Adventure-Worthy Average
(2) Koe no Symphony [Trans.: Symphony of Voice(s)]
From last chorus:
"(We) love you (saying) with a shaky voiceUntil (we) finish saying my thanks (we) will persevereOn the sunny days that pass, on the rainy nights (that fall)To the you who has been by (our) side, (we) want to convey happinessThank you, from today onwards, pleased to be with (you)"
And now for our emotional track. Well, this is as emotional as you can imagine, mainly because it's specifically written for their 10th anniversary Budokan live and was released the year before, and added to this single afterwards. Still, this song is rather mellow but very motivating, and obviously from its lyrics, designed to be sung with fans on a live event, and I think this song definitely has done its job. Its tempo is perfect, the melody is meant to make you cry, and we aren't even talking about the lyrics yet, which of course binds us with what we have known them for so many years, all the memories and everything, it's meant to make you feel nostalgic. This much, though it may be slow on the taking or not as in depth as true emotional songs are, will live in the place of fans' hearts, as I will too. The lyric video takes us back to the days of their past live performances which made this even more sentimental than it should be.
Rating: Sentimentally Average
Overall, I think this is still a decent single, a great music release I might add, to what fans know what TrySail came to be after a decade along this wonderful journey. If you were here because of the Anime or if they caught your attention as they deserved to, you will not be disappointed. This unique combination still brings us a lot of interesting bits here and there, and I think that is what makes this great, even to the point of memorable, for years to come. It's a checkpoint but never the end, and I will see this through considering they did us a solid by singing about what we think of them.
ALSO ALSO!!

MOCHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~

Asakura Momo - Fragaria x Ananassa [Single]
![]() | ![]() |
First Press Limited Edition | Regular Edition |
(Thank you and you are welcome for the close up on the Regular Edition, I cannot thank this enough)
I think we should be familiar with Japanese voice actress Asakura Momo on her solo music career more than her voice acting, and I think that is rather underrated as even the production knew of her prowess in singing love songs that only became hits one after another, and since her 4th album, she has been on a roll with the singles. This time around, she shows her mature yet slightly adorable allure with a title song to please, and a B-side to remember. To say that she has only love songs to offer is not just an understatement, its strength knows no bounds as we see her impress us even with a totally different style.
(1) Fragaria x Ananassa
(*Song title refers to a specific breed where all strawberry are from)
From first chorus:
"Fragaria Anana Anana AnnassaIt's not enough! Your love compositionAh, (it's like) a short (cake) without any strawberry!Do you get it, are you a fool?Sanana Sanana Sanagara (As like)With zero bias, (this is) a serious showdownI wish (you) seriously come up with a better plan(That is) sweet and sour!
My first impression of this song should be from the music video, and ignoring the flair that is Asakura Momo, the song ironically sounds distinctively different from her usual offerings and even pop songs in general, which is a great catch for innovation of music style, I will give you that. Other than that, I would argue the pace of the song went from serious to cool, and sometimes even a tinge of adorable, it is definitely portraying everything she has to offer. The lyrics are even weirder than you think, quirky even on the song title itself would be enough to suffice, but the lyricist definitely went out all the way to make this catchy while still talking about the sweet and sour of strawberries which ironically is the title of this song, so I kind of appreciate how this was written and how even to the point of sadistic the song appears to be overall. Rather disturbing yet interesting of a song, it still rings in my brain from time to time.
Rating: Quirky Average
(2) Boku no Kanojo (Kare) [Trans.: My Girlfriend (Him)]
From second verse to bridge:
"The person I love, what they treasure mostI also want to treat it seriously (It's a tall man)"The senior at the part-time job, (he's) cool" sort of thing(I am) totally not concerned about it at allNo, (I am) actually worried...As always (being the) girlfriend (him) but that still has to be decided(That) message I sent night after night, did those amount to breeding any love (between us)?"
Oh boy, this is the dealbreaker, and this one I have a lot to say. The title might be confusing to many even if I give you the lyrics, but you just need to know that Mocho is singing about love towards someone which has been implied being a man, and they are the girlfriend. I'm sure writing lyrics this way definitely has its challenges, trying to show how their male lover is adorable, is sometimes late, and how to confess to them, that sort of feels like they are the girlfriend, if that makes sense. This definitely created that flip in impression of lyrics, and the catchy rock-based melody is definitely helping this one out. I'm most drawn into the melody itself almost immediately. It's quick, it flows seamlessly between verses and chorus even raising the pitch at the end, this already feels like an immediate classic. I would like to talk more about the lyrics and little things the lyricist did to make this song adorable, but I think being the girlfriend in this relationship here for me is good enough.
Rating: Lovingly Average
If you love some love songs sung by a beautiful adorable voice, this is always a recommend. This might be a harder pill to swallow than her usual music releases, but I'm sure you will feel something great even just by giving her a chance, so I shall not deliberate any further. If you knew of her, this is just an extension of what was loved by her and her singing, the songs did them so much justice I do not even have to promote her any further. I always appreciate solo artists having something different in style because they aren't bounded by their usual set of styles unlike mainstream artists, and that always amazes me every time, I'm not going to complain apart from I want more of these. Anime don't stand a chance against these niche tastes, I will say that again.
- Aozaki Shouhei, on the Klassic Note
Now that we are done with the good stuff because somehow I didn't have to talk about my dreaded bridge part of the song because there aren't any (bad ones) in all of them, let's talk about HOW DAMN LATE WE ARE ALREADY (lol)
THE PACKAGE

Alright, I don't want to rant too much because I did that a couple of days ago so be sure to check that package review out, but suffice it to say the new proxy buying service I tried Buy&Ship did not live up to my expectations, almost missing the mark on getting Mocho's single because they failed once and overall took more than 2 weeks after release date. And if not for choosing Rakuten Books and its bromide photo because by the time I had to decide on this since I don't buy on pre-order nowadays and places like ToranoanaΒ *smiles* andΒ HMV JapanΒ (AAAAHHHH *kiss*) (haha) to evenΒ Gamers *blessed* have ran out of free gift stock, I would not even get anything if they tried any later. I know not to dunk on her lack of popularity almost underrated considering Mocho's single this time around is that good, but the fans also got the best free gifts already so what am I going to say? Yeah, which is why I chose the joke one I guess, I had a good laugh when I saw this free gift anyways. *giggles*

TrySail's single was less rough in comparison though thank goodness but I also did hesitate to give this the get-go, but when I did then the choices for their free gifts are easier on this one. I did not fancy the black background so the second half of them are already out of the equation, and I always appreciate close-ups considering it's three people in one image, so Sofmap and TOWER RECORDS became my final candidates. And of course I chose the former because the latter is already out of stock, but also it is harder to purchase that directly, so it'll be worth to get this proxy service to help me do the job. And that's how it all happened to be frank this whole package with the other half on the previous post, so I guess it's their fault. *laughs*

No no it's my fault for not pre-ordering all of these so I can get the application forms embedded inside them so I can AT LEAST get the free digital wallpaper and I knew of that because I only did this once... in my lifetime so far. *sob*

May I present to you: My actual birthday presents for the year! (I know right, what happened to Suganuma Chisa...) |
And we are done! It's a hot afternoon so I'm glad there's more hype songs to get me even hotter so I can... I can... we already ruined the intro, me, why not ruin your- See you guys next time then, if there will be another music review it's likely happening for every season, so let's see how this goes. I haven't even seen Random Curiosity post their season preview for Anime (Edit: It's out) so uh, maybe I need to find something else since the new season starts next week? And then we will talk about what's up on Monday. Still Anime by the way, again, music doesn't have much of a place here unless I bring up my usual Klassic Note talk which I have quite a backlog of if not for holding it for the 20th anniversary. Man, we are all old now and that makes me sad. *sob*
P.S. This one is just for me:
