Wow, we're back here so fast, huh.
Haha to be frank, the previous batch don't count. *laughs* This time, we have TWO proper singles that aren't single track or from 15 years ago enough to make me cringe... This is the newest and latest... from last month haha I'm still working making this appear a little faster, but for now, this is as fast as it gets, living overseas and waiting for package consolidation and paying a hell lot for international shipping-
Anyways, I'm starting this first as part of the new monthly package, so let's! You can consider this a showdown, and if you choose otherwise I will cancel you right here and now. *giggles*

Asakura Momo - Meikyu Love Me [Single]
![]() | ![]() |
Limited Edition | Regular Edition |
(Close-ups always are better, especially when it's in the Regular Edition, but why is she looking away though...?)
I can't believe I'm back so fast within half a year, and voice actress Asakura Momo just gave us what we wanted again: A love song. Excelling at delivering serenades to their fans, this has been a surprise of a drop ever since she announced it shortly before her birthday livestream in June, and the speed of revealing more has been picking up since. Throughout this release, you will notice a subtle embarrassment in singing the subtle and hiding the obvious, even though the love phrases in between have been working your way into your heart. It's working though, so let's talk about how.
(1) Meikyu Love Me [Trans.: (Lost in a Maze) Love Me]
From first chorus:
"Love is a never-ending labyrinthHere and there losing its wayWhen (we) finally reached the top(A) heartless restartHurryMake you Make youLove me now!Rushing without any hintDo you really love me that much? It's still scary but(I'm) in love"
First impressions of this song have not been great, ironically, as from her birthday livestream. But as I heard the song in full, I hear its quirkiness in the melody and the playfulness in its lyrics, I could not look away. And I guess that is what is the appeal of the song, of us falling in love with her, maybe it's mutual, we are kind of lost in a maze so I don't really know. Not stating the obvious in the lyrics and then hinting it in its background chorus and phrases from here and there, so if this isn't the newest Anime-level love song of the year that'll get all of us, I don't know what will. The music video is just fanservice of Mocho of course, holding a key to a door you still don't have access to, which is also a good comparison to idolism, to be real with you.
Rating: Lovingly Above Average
(2) Lemon Candy
From first chorus:
"Sweet and sour! (I) fell in love (and) obsessed with youThe taste of youth is like lemon(There's) a lot (bottled) in (my) heart! So much love its overflowing out of (my) chestOn the brink of love explosion(I) want to convey (to you) nowBut it's a little too early, hmmWearing (my) lucky itemMaybe I (do it) with some courage"
I initially thought this is just some normal pop love song that they put on the B-side of every love song single... and I think I'm still right. I think the loving lyrics and shorter melody did get me through, and not having a long bridge part of the song does help. The lyrics also write of the sourness of love and youth, with her going all out and experiencing what love has to offer... This is the true form of their singles, and it works (almost) every time, so I'll give it to you. This has no subtlety, it's saying love back to back without any shame, it's all what we have wanted. And I won't even remotely say no to that.
Rating: Blissfully Average
If this isn't the most stereotypical of the love formula Asakura Momo and their music label MusicRay'n has come up with for her in their (arguably) most successful solo artist career, I don't know how not to reject this. Give the tease in the front, and loving you all the way at the back. This will kill any virgin even without the outfit itself. If this single did you get you, maybe try the others because speaking from experience, I've been hit with it so many times, I'm losing count.
And we're not done yet!!! Haha normally if I did it the other way around I'll be able to-
RIHOOOOOOO
Okay it's not the same. *laughs*

Furui Riho - Hello [Single]
Artist Limited Edition | Anime Regular Edition |
(Pretty and interesting for an artist cover, lively and real, unlike the Anime cover of a Regular Edition I got which is just cute)
Mainstream artist Furui Riho caught my attention ironically through Anime "CITY", but I think she managed to stand her own ground with a groundbreaking yet familiar opening theme song to please. This along with her usual pop style will get anyone into their music, and I think this is quite an adequate time to showcase what she is about. She may sound unfamiliar, she may sound like your usual pop indie artist, she may be your new generation rising singer-songwriter, but she did say her greetings, so let's actually reply back!
(1) Hello
From first verse:
"Hello, Dear my friendsTalking about (our) dreamsSpending (our) days together, do (you) remember?Being an adult now it's hard isn't itWhatever (we) are hiding, let's go find them"
I think this song's easiest way to explain this is just the music video itself: It's dope! And that's all we need for an exciting opening song for an Anime about wacky slice-of-life, and paired with the ending theme song by TOMOO-san, this is a music festival to behold. The tempo is right, the pop beats hit hard, the self-produced song gets right to the chorus after making you bop to the music, and the lyrics sing of happiness in meeting your friends after a long time. This gets you out of the bed in the morning. This gets me dancing in my room like an idiot. Say hello to my new favourite, because this song might be the new everything, and you're welcome for the recommend. Okay, maybe the repeats are kind of a drag, but I'll tell you, repeating the ending melody twice is the icing on the already delicious cake, I'm bumping on this for years to come.
Rating: Addictingly Awesome
(2) Chanto [Seriously]
From first chorus:
"Being in this world, let's rush outJust a little, being (a) bad kidRunning away (even) if I'll come backNow just a little, I want to forget the word(Seriously)"
I did wonder why this B-side is a lot more pop heavy than the title song and wondered if this is their usual style, but I'm glad to have found out that this song was produced with another pop artist which will explain why this feels like another Kodama Hikari song. It's not that bad though, as listening to it more makes me feel the beats coming faster and smoother, and I think that's what makes a pop song great. Weird way to use the song title in repeat though. Otherwise, the lyrics are very carefree and even rebellious, the sometimes quick rap here and there, and the chorus makes you want to move physically despite feeling very real from the song itself. Not recommended for the long term though, it's so good it's giving me a headache, not gonna lie here.
Rating: Seriously Average
If this gives you a headache, you might want to stop. But I'm not going to even if it means ripping my head off, because it has been a while I'm impressed by a pop artist and single, to be real frank with you. The transition to this is also fast, from the Anime trailer to listening to it in full and looking forward to the music video and full release... I was ready to give this the moment I like the B-side, I'll tell you that much. I might just look into her in the near future, and even if this is a one-off success, I'm sure I'll remind myself to find out more about her what makes her dance, if this is any indicator.
- Aozaki Shouhei, on the Klassic Note
Wow I feel like I just ran a marathon. Must be all the dancing LMAO so you know who won. Mocho. *laughs*
THE PACKAGE
(Full unboxing tomorrow in monthly package review)

I think it's rather obvious and I'll say it, but I think I've made a mistake. *laughs*

If you have not noticed that, it's called a "mega jacket" and ironically I did not heed my own advice and buy from Tower Records the smaller-sized jacket which will ironically because I literally read wrong on the only source which explains the gifts in full detail and I can't get into my thick head that "betsu" means "another" but not "alternate" and think it'll be the limited edition cover- Why am I even lying to myself now. *laughs* So yeah, the sticker from Tower was the only other trinket I was keen on, so I should've gotten on that. Ironically though, shipping from Amazon Japan with this large jacket is still waaaaay faster so in comparison I don't know how I should start explaining on Mocho's single. *silence*

Anyways it's still on time and I did not miss the window on consolidation, so I'll call this a win. *blessed* Because I knew I would have a good chance of giving her new single again despite this being her 2nd attempt this year at getting me to be in love with her which it's working by the way so thanks I appreciate it when can we hug though (lol fanfic joke), at least did still give me sanity to not get the Tower Records version even though it's likely the safest option of them all since that's very similar to the artist image when the new single's theme was first revealed. We don't talk about how she got railed from behind in the Sofmap version *cringe* haha but there are other options I liked, for example Sony Music Japan with the heart sign and damn I will love you one new single at at time my love *giggles* but ended up settling down with Gamers since it's a close(r)-up and lesser eye bags (you want to guess whether she slept well last night or...?) and it's in the alternate outfit not used in as the theme and in the music video which is a thing MusicRay'n likes to do here so don't mind them, thanks. I'm dumb enough not only to miss out on her the tight outfit she was wearing for the theme but instead chose to wait close to a week long for it to ship to the forwarding service so I can ship it out. We were close, this was one day before.
TL:DR; Buying both singles from Tower Records would've been faster, easier and cheaper, me. *laughs*
On other news, the CD player I bought a couple of years might not be able to spin sitting upright no more, uh oh. *laughs* And the speaker buttons are kinda wonky already, and I just changed out my fan for a Dyson and need a new pair of wireless earphones which don't poke in my ear, so might as well change everything in my life right about now. *giggles* No really, I could use a girlfriend right about now, Mocho. *wink* "Even though you know it" haha I don't think she knows, trust me. *laughs* Excuse me while I go back to bopping to Furui Riho though, and see you guys for the fanfic (which isn't any of them) and the new package unboxing which by then, well, won't have them. Haha see you then.
P.S. I have questions:
![]() |
"Why isn't her chest touching the ground?" "Why is my finger on her flat butt?" "Why doesn't she have more seductive eyes?" I guess we will never know. *laughs* |
