Okay I'm done fapping to Moeshi, let's watch a kids movie. *laughs*

Well, we are still in the animated space so not like I'm going to watch that people I should not even touch watch on Sunday mornings (lol) and I will likely(?) not post on social media for the same reason and not like anyone cares haha, as mentioned yesterday I'm also doing this because we aren't going to get a spare week at the end of this season ie. end June, to be doing movie reviews, so since I have a public holiday in-lieu, I might as well do this now. The theme song is already a year old so that's not helping much, but still. *giggles*

Hey I have to say? This is definitely a stark contrast to what I have watched so far in Anime this season so I'll give this movie that much credit (#TabekkoDoubutsuMovie) but then again I know this is a kid's movie where no one dies they just become solid candy for some reason (lol) so let's talk about this from an adult standpoint!! No, not going to convince any parent to bring their kids to watch this it has been a year since then go watch it on Prime Video or whatever. *laughs* Anyways, now that I have cried enough lol I still cannot believe they made the kids cry several times in this, let's talk about the story! In case you don't know of kids movies, the first thing you need to know is uh, don't expect too much. *laughs* Just like Pero-chan and their level of figuring out English letters and boy I'm kinda glad they did at the end so we can literally piece the animals back up lol, but the premise is simple: In the world of Sweetsland, any snack you eat will manifest into something... sort of a soul, let's just say, that is meant to make you happy, and looks like this is the general consensus... Until you meet the one Professor who can't explain the phenomenon. *silence* Sorry if I had to say I spoiled it for you haha but yeah, this is pretty much the idea. And of course the Dream Animals (in Japanese called "Tabekko Doubutsu" as in "eatable animals" so more criminal lmao) are on the top of the list.... until we have to compare the popularity between the characters themselves, also heavily shown in the slew of trailers related to this movie but actually not in the movie? Yeah you can go watch them without the subtitles some are actually funny we got scaredy-cat Touyama Nao who is a giraffe and not a cat because we got Minase Inori to be cool cat- It's a whole thing. *giggles* Speaking of comparing between characters...

Of course the animals have some internal rivalry between them, not enough to get rid of each other this is a kids show anyways *wink* I need you to remember that well this will be throughout the series in case you wonder, we have what is (haha ah hey) unicorn Pegasus-chan being the latest star of the group, versus the king of the jungle. The only big shot we can hire. The one big enough to represent the group because of his large, yellow mane. It's Lion-kun! *giggles* Okay none of these are to represent Pegasus-chan and her singing and yeah I'm sure they got a mainstream singer or actress to voice Pegasus and don't get me going on the Anime voice actors being jealous of them type of problem... Haha you get the idea. *giggles* It's a mix of all casts in this animated movie, and they do each get their spotlight in the initial performance before their final of the tour, but uh, I guess Lion isn't happy? I don't know. You are the leader of the group, you should be proud of your new star- And I'm not gonna elaborate further you can see where this goes, but Zou-kun had to tell him off and tell him to one-up their best talent? Why? *giggles* So yeah as you can see, just a stifle, not enough to break the group, because I think the plenty of cotton candies in the sky are breaking the jet engine they are flying in from since they left a year ago so... Why has this become the newest authoritarian regime?? *laughs*

So blah blah cotton candy is the best thing out there now. Unrelated, I'm not eating cotton candy anymore. *laughs* To be fair to me, the last time I did was.... Did I ever? *laughs* Please, as a citizen I'm already hiding from all the Gottons trying to get my terrible jokes so I won't even crack them no more. Because this is a CRACK-down (get it?) of ALL the other sweets, and I wish this plot had been a little more refined by having some civil war of sweets and that Gottons emerged victorious but I also know we got 90 minutes lol and violence is not a thing remember this is a kids show *wink* so yeah I guess we don't even need that to suppress free... consumption of candy? Well, it's not free initially anyways, just that if you want to eat now, you have to hide in a crib and never be found out- And then I guess getting them is also rather impossible since the castle has stashed them all and only is producing cotton candy like cotton candy... soup? *pukes* I know this sounds great for whoever has a sweet tooth, but I'm more concerned in the increase of diabetes cases- Also, why is a Gotton stuck to Lion's head? *laughs* Which brings us to the other weird thing about all of this since their arrival: Somehow a Gotton stuck on the lion's mane while they escaped... without Pegasus-chan apparently. And not like they have any ideas to save her, unless we can, you know, employ some interrogation to the only one rival on top of someone's head- Kids show by the way. *laughs* TIME TO TAKE A SHOWER LMAO!!! *laughs* Also, how long has this place not seen any rain? It's monsoon season or what...? *laughs* Also, do not expect this story to have like, a beach episode or something where they storm the castle with water guns or whatever- You want ME to make a movie? *dabs* 

Aaaaaand I guess we can skip forward a bit and talk about how all this came around. Backstory is essentially that Lion-kun is the OG animal in the group thus the leader and I would argue I look at Neko-chan's motivation lying all around and Usagi-chan's social media posting powers instead of singing powers lol, that quite literally no one can make kids smile as much as Lion... Until Pegasus-chan came by I suppose. But again, he picked her in an audition (as in the company who made these added her in LMAO) and got her into the gang, he should've known wiser that she will overtake him someday. Yeah, one-up that what have you, instead of getting jealous? Oh also by the way, this show is all about jealousy. Lion jealous of Pegasus-chan, King Gotton jealous of all the other sweets, the Professor jealous of all the kids able to eat sweets and be happy- Wait, what? *giggles*

And THEN we went downhill real fast talking about Pero-chan's upbringing compared to the Professors, where the latter is just living in hell barred of sweets by their parents, versus Pero-chan who loves sweets so much GPS can't even track sweets they know where it is, despite the city covered in cotton candy. Yeah. *laughs* So again blah blah jealous of kids smh, which led us to somehow find out that the first Gotton which appeared in front of the Professor who got to eat his first candy... told him to maybe wipe off the smiles of the kids' faces?? *silence* Hey, same but I don't have this power to do so so uh, let me go buy some candy right now, give me a minute. *laughs* EVEN AS A JOKE?? *laughs* Anyone got Gotton- I mean, Gotchan's sense of humour? Hey, if this can pass in a kids movie, I can be a stand-up comedian. *dabs* So yeah it got cringe real fast, the misunderstanding got cleared between Lion-kun and Pegasus-chan without wings which coincidentally is how I know of unicorns haha most of them do not picture wings too by the way, shout out to artificial ones made by MVP Wani-kun and Hiyoko-chan, so proud of the OP crocodile engineer and their Natsukawa Shiina fan sidekick. *giggles*

All in all... I think I said enough. *laughs* And so did they, they REALLY had to enforce the jealousy and awkwardness between how splendid the animation was to uh, how dark the plot can get. I didn't walk in expecting much and even though I had my quirks with the storytelling and it could be better, I think this is just fine as an animation. For those who have paid real money to watch last year? I hope this held up to your... kids' expectations. *giggles* If not, I guess the male idol group Travis Japan's theme song wasn't too bad! Definitely feel like they could use more of the performance and whatever I saw on the special videos, but if we judge from the trailer... I would commend the production for coming with something which was essentially just a box of animal biscuits. WHY DID I NOT BUY WHEN I WAS AT DONKI JUST NOW?!! *laughs* I might just buy them later after going with dinner with my family. *dabs* No, my parents didn't stop me from eating sweets nor are they working as slaves in the cotton candy-making factory. *laughs* They also are likely to get diabetes soon even though they did not live in Sweetsland, thanks for asking. *laughs* I'm done lol

Personal TL:DR; Definitely not enough Naobou as giraffe coming in from the special videos especially when trust me when I say I wanted A LOT from the acting cute segment when they were "fighting" the soldiers, but on the other hand Inorin gave me SO MUCH CUTE I CANNOT EVEN- *blessed* Yes, all the reactions in the movie are accurate to mine. *giggles* GIF FEVER INCOMING!!!

Hey happy birthday Lynn-san I know I haven't been seeing you much in Anime nor did I include you in the fanfics this season also this week's phone wallpapers which aren't even featuring you and not like you would be in Calvin Klein underwear so who cares (lmao), but at least you aren't in the cast here...? *laughs* Yeah I am so sorry but your shorter hair is to blame for some of this, so I'll see if I can compensate for that... at some point. *giggles* Don't think that's gonna happen though, just saying. *dabs* See you guys next time then very likely it'll be the new package review happening sometime this week, but also, where I will be starting to follow on the Comiket listings, and I wish there's a phone browser with a built-in Japan VPN out there to make this Melonbooks tour less painful, but heck, I'm already in it, just like all the stuff you see here.
