โœจWELCOME TO MY ONE AND ONLY COMIKET 104 REVIEW SPECIAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!โœจ
๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ“š

Yes, my dear reader, WE ARE SO BACK haha doing this almost ONE MONTH after the yearly summer doujinshi convention has passed but rest assured, after I'm done dealing with the photos and crediting ALL the people below for their efforts on social media and getting all the likes maybe(lol), I will be sure to give you a more detailed and complete review of what I got for us to talk about this year!!

I am slowly running out of space in my room but WHO CARES we gotta stay in the trend! *dabs*

Shall we start? I have a lot to talk about C104 here.
[**SUPER LONG POST WARNING**]

WHAT THIS IS
If you need how all this works, do refer to the previous and first time I talked about Melonbooks and its industry-leading books site and how it essentially saved every artist out there in the pandemic even though it didn't directly contribute to the yearly event which happens in Tokyo Big Sight every year. This time around, it just happened to be with a holiday on a long weekend, so it was held on August 11-12 ending on a Monday. I totally freaked out when I didn't see any stall setup photos on my social feed on Saturday lol

I also will refer to all of them by "-sensei" prefix just because, and they have no gender, stop trying to look it up. *giggles* Okay let's proceed.

WHAT HAS HAPPENED IN THE PAST YEAR
A lot has changed in the past year, no surprises. I got richer. *laughs* No that's a lie I can't even match inflation where I live, but that doesn't stop me from trying this again!! *dabs* No really, my attempt at doing this again falls far beyond what has happened since I did this last September by the time it arrived at my hands (hey 1st anniversary lol), so let's talk all about them.

For starters, I joined Bluesky in the new year considering the new slew of doujin artists appearing there in protest to... go read the news I will not talk about what happened to Twitter here *sigh* but suffice it to say this has made me be able to maintain another following list of artists I may or may not know of (it's easy, just look at their followers hehe) which has helped a lot in deciding what candidates I am to shortlist before all of this even started about halfway through the year. From artists I know like (links spam warning) *takes deep breath* Nagyo-sensei, Rosuuri-sensei, Kagachisaku-sensei, Akamoku-sensei who I will feature them this year just because, to Tetto-sensei,ย Jizell-sensei, Monaka Curl-sensei, Mochitsuki Chisa-sensei etc etc (lol), they have technically jumped the queue (hehe) to get my attention on their artwork (new or old) and definitely did help in making me remember them more than I would on Pixiv because damn are those AI images creeping into our lives I don't even know setting the "see less AI images" on Pixiv will make any difference at this point I just check the rankings now.

Another thing that has changed apart from me viewing less from Pixiv as a result but thank goodness the Twitter side can still show variety and that's good enough, is that I have branched out the stuff which I can't cover all of them because DAMN have I already upped the number of books I am going to buy AND still allow Toranoana to be my new accomplice (see blog post 2 months ago) so that I can talk about more artists I know and discover the... limited ones appearing there because exclusivity is a thing in Melonbooks now and blah blah go read that blog post to find out more. *wink*

As such, the table of artists (as I will call it now) (lol totally original name) will reflect this change on the "Familiarity" column, slightly deviating from the usual Pixiv and Twitter/X path and now including Bluesky if the latter platform has artists posting there often even if you know, it doesn't get much views and/or likes anyways. *cringe* This will all make sense in a while, but before that, let me talk about what I intend to do for this year's order!

WHAT TO ACHIEVE FOR THIS YEAR
I knew the first thing I should do is to not select the same illustrators from last year. Let's talk about what they have for Comiket this year just because, and I will tell you why I avoided most of them:
So yeah, not all of them. We will talk about Komizuki-sensei on why later, and Nakamura-sensei was just revenge for last year so yeah, you're welcome, whoever has stayed for this year's selections. *giggles*

Though not listed as a condition as you will see below, I want to aim for variety instead of just quality, which is also why I went to so much deliberation for this year (last year's is essentially half of them I already knew) because man, the careful selection was harder on this one especially after we did this once, which is how I ended up with a wide range including those from a mix of illustrators we already know even through last year, to literally ones I see refreshing Melonbooks pre-order list of originals every day haha it was just habit for a month and a half, in case you wondered.

But yeah, a combination of a desire to showcase newer stuff (and illustrators we don't know), and wanting to keep the reviews in smaller chunks because not like the guys I knew from last year showed us something that is in a smaller package (GOTTEM), is my target for the year. Oh boy, did this bite me badly after I made that decision. *giggles* And what's why you can't have everything! Haha

THE FIVE COMMANDMENTS OF DOUJINSHI
I shall take this chance to explain briefly while also defining again, what conditions have to be met in order for me to give a review of:

CommandmentTranscript
Thou shalt only select original ideas of scared artwork for knowledgeThe books have to be original illustration books, no comics, no references to existing franchises
Thou shalt grant thyself such knowledge of scared artwork from the foreign entity which gives us blessingsThe books have to be Melonbooks exclusives, as they have done that to control the industry for years, see title if this is not obvious enough
Thou shalt only seek following from the wise who have traversed the paths of society and mediaThe illustrators of those books must have Twitter/X and Pixiv accounts
Thou shalt refrain from seeking knowledge spreading no further than what finite pages it needs to conferThe books must not exceed 20 pages total
Thou shalt not expense more than they shalt to attain such scared artwork, as determined by the forces of natureThis year's budget for all items do not exceed 20k yen (Edit: 17399 yen total)

How is this for a dumb bit, eh? *laughs*

FROM SHORTLIST TO SELECTION
Based on the above commandments (lol why), let's talk about who I have included as they fulfilled the criteria, and what exceptions I made along the way.

For starters, I did not put time frame into the criteria. But ideally I would keep the books to review which were released within the past year so from C103 during last December, and of course this is Comiket 104 which was this year so yes, most of them are from this event itself. Trust me when I say the older ones might be better later on, for they are also selected for noteworthy reasons which will make sense to you real soon.

Also, I stated above already, since Bluesky might gain popularity just like how Twitter/X might lose it at the same rate lol maybe not, but yeah, the social media requirement will fade away in due time as illustrators seek to protect their work from AI and the eyes of sical media who only exploit it to their own benefit without proper credit, making this whole affair more bleak in prospect than we will look forward to, fingers crossed.

The Melonbooks exclusive thing I don't know if it will make much sense (see Rosuuri-sensei later) but suffice it to say they just need to stay within during the time we have seen it, so I guess Hiten-sensei counts last year until they published it somewhere else. *wink* Toranoana *wink* Haha alright, me.ย

I kept thinking that setting 20 pages which is the average of these books is a stretch until you realize many of the books I reviewed last year were so thick, my own UI components can't fit them all in one overview screen lol, so this is the new limit now. No thanks Ragu-sensei, 50 pages is just a little too much, even if half the pages were just text. *giggles* Oh, and the catalog will be the exception. Legit thought last year's was that short until I saw it again and it isn't, I just skipped a lot of stuff I can't show or didn't like. *laughs*

And lastly, we don't talk about budget anymore. Even with 3 more new books I am still WAY within range. Until you ignore item price and talk about shipping. *laughs* Because last but not least, I will talk about how I actually paid more on that even just on local shipping. (I promise you, we are close to looking at the goods. *wink*)

THE THREE-PART PROCESS
So, this year, basically to not take any chances of losing to pre-order timing considering once again I am using Buyee as my accomplice my forwarding and proxy service for this screw you Zenmarket lol (I am so sorry that I am scared of change), I decided to do this in not two, but THREE PHASES which of course first problem is, that I paid more in local shipping to ship them all into the warehouse. Well, actually way more, somehow last year's order only charged me once. *silence* Don't narc. *laughs*

Anyways, this means doing 2 pre-order batches (as I will call them from here on) and 1 normal order batch in which the first of pre-order batches is done mid July if I recall, securing Nakamura-sensei which we TOTALLY missed last year and Rosuuri-sensei, both of which are out of stock by the time I did the 2nd batch start August, and the normal back a week after the event, with two week breaks in between. The downside of doing this besides paying more for shipping which I clearly understand *sob* is that, just by browsing Melonbooks for nearly a month and a half (I actually love this unbiased method of browsing, here is the link if you want to use it) (yeah just burnt that into my browser history), regret becomes a very big thing when you click that button and realize there are better options down the road. *silence* Yeah, so lucky you Riri-sensei and Haruhiruri-sensei haha, but we will still talk about why you all still managed to make it to the list despite that fact. *wink* Still, to cover as many of them illustrators especially of those I mentioned last year, my next option was to up the limit for review, from 12 last year to a whopping 15 BOOKS this year. *dabs* Yeah, plus the 3 from Toranoana a couple of months ago?? NOW I'm truly supporting Japanese arts. *giggles*

Then came August and I had to plan for my 2nd pre-order batch. This one was a lot more harder as I really have to narrow the selection of candidates this is technically the batch before pre-orders end, so I chose who I was familiar with. That is also why despite Morikura En-sensei coming in on top and sold out its free gift for their new book real quick, I still did not care to give them since, apart from half of the book being on credit to other works, they also aren't as worthy to talk about compared to Amamine-sensei and Akamoku-sensei which DAMN the latter I have a lot to talk about tbh. *giggles*

Because even if I got the things right this time, I ran into new problems. Well, just 2 of them I can recall. First, the store listing for Akamoku-sensei's book was unavailable, so it rejected ejected me out from my 2nd pre-order batch, leading me to choose other options which... isn't that great but hey we can still talk about them- Oh, what is this?? The store listed the item as out of stock so no one can buy themย (see repost) and it's not because Buyee's response for order was slower than a main guy noticing some girl likes him in a romance Anime? *laughs* (GOTTEM) So yeah, sorry, Hatsuno-sensei, maybe next time. *wink* Then, there's the delay. Yeah me, you thought last year was bad when you almost did not meet all the orders on time on the last day of August? It's September already and nothing happened even last week, and the latest release here isn't even on the last day of August!! *laughs* So I had to email Buyee to help me out, thank goodness they responded real quick, and that's how I get to do this now instead of say, last week the earliest.

*sigh*

Haha capitalism problems amirite fellas?

And so, the time has come I may have went too far, here are our final candidates this year who made the cut!

Okay this really is a lot of illustrators!! (On Bluesky too!)

I think we can start now... but first!!! *giggles*

Okay the obelisk is here let's *pray* for its greatness
(Haha thanks dad though, as usual)

A dinner and Takao Kanon birthday livestream later... (haha)

OPEN SESAME!!
*laughs*

And inside is... protective packaging, yes.
I paid for this, by the way. *cringe*

And inside that is...!!!

Oh, it's just the whole stack, huh.
Oh heck haha

Okay, removing the packaging, we are left with our 3 batches as mentioned earlier!
I like how this is a guessing game now... *hmm*

Going in blind, this thick one on the right must be the normal order batch, the others are pre-order as I ordered lesser for those

So!
How do I know which one is the first batch that I will review first, hmm...

Oh alright that's kind of a giveaway LMAO
(Okay maybe not so here's the enhanced edit)
(Or just scroll down for the answer lol)

Ta-da!!
Yes, this is Nakamura-sensei's book title haha that's how I knew

Ta-da from the front- WOAH WOAH WOAH
*laughs*
(Nice)

Day 1: The first pre-order batch featuring things I don't want to regret missing
(You got last year me good, this year me)
(FYI as of Comiket actual day, both books on the right are sold out)

Well, I think if you read this blog you can read this book description which was LITERALLY printed on the cover (lol)

So for starters this is revenge not porn don't get that confused this is build-up for a year long at this point why does this still sound wrong, this is Nakamura-sensei's 2nd book for Comiket!!

*sigh*

Haha you know the story, I ordered their 1st book last year through proxy shipping like, THRICE, and welp not even fast enough for restock. So yeah, this is to compensate for it, and damn do I not need to describe how their lovely drawings were with beautiful bodies to admire, justย please tell me these guys are college students. *giggles* Personal favourite even in last year's batch, so don't be too surprised if I like their art more than anyone listed here even though I now follow all of them. *wink* Quality, truly quality Anime-level drawings this is *chef's kiss* and I'll prove it to you right now!

ๆœฌย Nakamura "I'KIT"

Man, I'm loving the fluent English in these books ngl
(Haha)

Next up, and I have a feeling you might know who they are since they are rather famous in the doujin industry even though they are Korean and communicates in English, this is Rosuuri-sensei's 1st illustration book for Comiket!!ย Oh I did NOT buy their 2nd book which was for this Comiket C104 which was summer themed, but I think buying the former is better of an introduction of them into my life as much as it is to them. If I'm not wrong they are also multilingual (as you will see in the dialogues), they have been doing this gaining an international audience real quick with their Anime-perfect drawings and since they have leverage, it took them a while to make a proper comic-illustration book for Japan to officially join in the ranks with the other doujin artists over here. Hey, international treasure is also doujin treasure so I'm not going to be picky about this if they can deliver. And they sure can, you can see this for yourself, this one also featured a duo with rather contrasting attributes. *wink*

ๆœฌย Rosuuri "Wonderland Diary"

SELLOUT CORNER!!
Haha alright they have been promoting this for a while, years in the making AFAIK

So yeah, this is their first book.
For your first book, Rosuuri-sensei, this is AMAZING.
*thumbs up*

Haha SAME whoever you are.
*giggles*

Okay this is a first on many levels, and yeah let's introduce our first impulse buy hehe even this is a first, this is riri-sensei's first ever illustration book!! Hell yeah I like to join in the lines of being their first (hehe), which also means the book itself is kind of an archive for their works for the years they got to this level to be able to appear in Comiket, so congrats, but also this book's theme is rather heavily defined, so let me talk about it. The theme here is about some dude's journey to the forest lol they literally put that down in writing no joke, and as you can see, this isn't your ordinary forest, not even in Anime. *giggles* In here we see cheeky forest girls who CANNOT WAIT to show off their crotch (lmao), and then everything else falls into place, I guess. *laughs* Feels like I got scammed off half the book with the text and window of hope which is as small as my hopes in life (lol), but hey, I'm not going to complain I still like their drawings even if it pales in comparison with the rest here. First try, dude, first try, we give chance to indie artists here, remember?

ๆœฌย riri "secret of forest"

See, even just showing the illustrator name I will have to show you some cleavage too
(Haha)

Oh boy how do I even start on this... *laughs* Hey, if you thought riri-sensei above was kind of... not that popular with respect to the other ones earlier, for Haruhiruri-sensei's first ever illustration book for Comiketย this is their 2nd attempt at a doujin event and still had lesser followers (OOF), but damn are they already exceeding my expectations just looking at the cover, which was also the main reason for me to give this the get-go even though I don't get to preview anything else in the store listing. (Yes, there's social media posts but heck I like to dive in blind *wink*) (Yes, as in boobs *dabs*) This actually impressed me way more than I would have expected, I mean, not as great as the cover lol, but you know, it's good enough. Vivid, might be the best way to describe it, but not enough to be annoying. Yeah, and perfect lines, really showing the attention to detail and keeping to their occult themes which I must say is a good theme to do just in general for the book. This is definitely a dream I rather be trapped in and never get out of, not gonna lie here. *giggles*

ๆœฌย Haruhiruri "Trapped in a dream"

Okay this is worth mentioning: modernize your profile page, fellas!
Use IDs and/or QR codes; It's more trendy, pro tip.
*dabs*

A day of work and music later... *giggles*

Well, I know what I will review next, already planned it yesterday hehe

Ta-da- Kawaii~!!
(Amamine-sensei dude, just *chef's kiss* dude)

Day 2: The 2nd pre-order batch where all the actual action is in this Comiket, and I still think I'm losing out
(Haha no I didn't, you will see why soon)

Okay, now that we are in the thick of it, let's talk about the stuff that I ACTUALLY want to talk about for this Comiket because apparently flowers are a heavy theme this year, this is Aroa-sensei's new illustration book for Comiket!! Oh damn how should I even start describing this gem, I think I saw them long time ago likely on Pixiv even though they don't get much social media attention, but I don't think they need it because their artwork represented by their brush lines is such a distinctive feature, they are already worth talking about whatever they might put their brush on. This time around, they chose flowers as the theme (see title of book below lol) and I like how this is unlike the others we have so far in terms of presentation. This is zero bullsh*t, all artwork book, I feel like I can frame this whole book on the wall for all to admire if I could. *giggles* No really, remember when I mentioned the conditions for buying these? I think we found our role model. *dabs*

ๆœฌย Aroa "Flower"

Wow, this is a first where the illustrator asks for your feedback!
Maaaaybe I go tell them what's up after all this *giggles*
(10/10, no further comment haha)

Hey if this is the 8th time coming, it's gotta be good, right? *giggles* Damn I sure hope so I'm going in blind and I assume they have done this for every Comiket so twice a year for the past 4 years, this is Kagashisaku-sensei's new illustration book for Comiket!! This is the only exception in title of the book I will give since you don't really notice the number on the cover I really hate numbering books with a passion (see Rosuuri-sensei's next book I didn't review, this was the other reason), and I think the illustrator also realized that they have been keeping this series going for a while, but suffice it to say as I view their artwork online, they have only delivered beautiful girls in scenarios galore, so this book can only be better, and I was not disappointed, I'll tell you that much. Seeing their memos, I can see their attention to detail and attempts to create variety, this was an eye-opener as it's also a great purchase. *thumbs up* My following of them on Bluesky to make this happen is just fate right now. *blessed*

ๆœฌย Kagashisaku "GIRLFRIEND 8"

Damn there is a lot to digest here in the afterword:
1. Their previous book was supposed to be last of the series (why not then) but ended up doing this
2. Ended up book was full of onee-san and realized this will be a summer book without bikini so they had to add in the cover girl
3. They weren't feeling well first half of the year yet they still DID SO MUCH ART *sob* Respect

Alright this is a binded book instead of a stapled one even though this is also 20 pages.
Why?
(Welp for my chances of browsing this without bending it)

Oh we got more going on this summer it's not over yet fellas, because next up this is stepping into unknown territory I just knew of them last month, this is Kisaragi Yuri's new book for Comiket!! Enticed by the cover and it's not because she's wet lmao, I legit thought initially that this is about some vampire girl with the red eyes (and deja vu to later with gozmi-sensei which I had planned earlier lol) because this is all I had to go out on, it did not have previews but I did look at their social media and artwork and thought this is alright even with the rather solid lines, so I gave the thumbs up for this to be shortlisted here. This is also to no surprise a summer-themed book, but we got specific themes going on too, so why not let them express them the way they intended? Intentional art is also great art, if you think about it this way.

ๆœฌย Kisaragi Yuri "Ryoka"

And I love a free gift clear folder that houses its contents-
Ah dammit. *laughs*
(This is not "Douki-chan", sadly)

And finally we have a proper contender for this year's listings HAHA SCREW YOU PLEBS THE MASTER IS HERE (haha), this is Amamine-sensei's new book for Comiket!! *applauses* I just don't know what else to say about them so I'll let their books do the talking. *giggles*

In "Flowers Bloom in the Hearts of Young Ladies" hehe yes that's the title and even that stands out like a flower *dabs* Amamine-sensei decides to focus on not just flowers unlike Aroa-sensei who is way popular than them by the way, but on its "flower meanings" if you know what they are. They had a great time researching on that which of course is the inspiration for their artwork, but can I just say how beautiful the lines are on this and everything? It's just impressive how I went from the one artwork in that Melonbooks catalogue last year... TO THIS. *mind blown* So yeah, don't mind me showing off more of this, because I think this is just a masterpiece in itself, hands down.

And they did TWO books for this event?!! *speechless* (The other was for credit, but still, I appreciate the separation of work and play)

ๆœฌย Amamine "Shoujo no Kokoro ni Hana wa Saku"

And the clear folder free gift is to bait you to buy her book from last year!
Exclusive to Melonbooks? Nah.
*laughs*

Another day of work and dealing and PixAI not living to my expectations later...
(Haha but seriously though prompting with emoji is ROUGH)

Oh?
(Haha alright what is hype now)

WAIT NO NO THIS IS NOT WHAT YOU THINK
(Haha nice)

Well, since this order batch is rather thicc and I can't do all of them in one night *dabs*, I'm splitting this up

Day 3: The newer, more relevant order batch which has enough to make your eyes pop
(Haha okay also summer)

Oh well here you go I didn't have to translate the Katakana myself after all

Heck yeah we are not done with talking about great illustrators hehe and that's why I dare to say we have brought up the average from last year, this is Akamoku's new illustration book for Comiket!! I think I knew them earlier through Bluesky (and that's why the platform deserves credit for this) but also with them appearing in credit, for example *wink* Hanazawa Kana's lyric video for her album back in April, you can see that they are more busy than popular. BRO, and they did TWO ORIGINAL BOOKS THIS COMIKET and thanks to my limited quota I gotta show some love to the others which you will see more afterwards, I chose this summer-themed book (there is lore but I shall skip that, you can infer from the title) over the lazing-around book- AND THEY DID A BLUE ARCHIVE ONE TOO?? WHO ARE THEY??? *laughs*

Okay serious talk though, this illustrator is indeed in a different level and that's why it was worth the wait to get this I was real worried I can't get this on pre-order (and my worries were valid) (and then invalid lol), so don't mind me as I continue to talk about how perfect the lines and abstract scenes on these are on the Anime girls drawn even without touching on bikini or the beach. Watch them prove us wrong, dude.

ๆœฌย Akamoku "Sepia-moment refrain"

Uh oh I think I'm being called out haha okay maybe not it does not say can't post to a blog that no one knows *dabs*
(I also just showed most of this book online when they didn't *cringe*)

Okay how can you say this is "for all ages" when the title is as such
*laughs*

Alright I am very compelled to not put this under the age gate ie. never buy this and show you guys buy myself (lol), but I think they deserve some mention even though this isn't the summer Comiket book, this is Motsunuki's illustration book for Comitia 148!! I chose this specifically over the newest book and yes they were in it doing summer and bikini stuff, are for several reasons. Besides white being my favourite colour lol who am I lying too but white is a great colour for this theme, is that this is a lingerie illustration book which will be a great deviation from what we have so far. Remember we had ligerie books galore last year too? Yeah, that. *laughs* But also, this one got sold online like, way later than the end May doujin event which damn if I hands were faster (and if I missed riri-sensei and/or Haruhiruri-sensei hehe) I would've gotten the free gift but as you can see I didn't, I still decided over this above all else just because I like what I see. *dabs* Yeah, can't lie here, black lingerie would've been BETTER but this is good too. *giggles*

ๆœฌย Motsunuki "Dosukebe Paipai WHITE"

Okay how did I not notice this before I saw the cover-
"Extremely lewd breasts", by the way.
You need a translation for what this means?
*giggles* *fap*

Oh yeah, this. I kept getting this confused for Motsunuki-sensei above because their art styles look similar, and I kept thinking I was ordering two books from the same illustrator but I wasn't, I kept baiting myself to but I didn't. *giggles* This is Nagyoย Nakyo-sensei's illustration book for Comiket!! Yes, this one is very stereotypical of the summer stuff we have seen so far if you include all the purists LMAO so bikini and beach are that perfect combination you're welcome hehe, but also, despite the drawing proportions maybe feeling a little off here and there if you look closer, I still think this was worth talking about just because, and looking at the book now they have so much to offer and I mean boobs haha, so we are good. *giggles* Then again, their book from last year looked worse in comparison and that was supposed to be my experience ever since I knew them, so uh... either ways I lost. *laughs*

ๆœฌย Nakyo "LIGHT"

Oh I'm actually excited to see this-
Yes we know this is fictitious-
You think someone's going to bring this to the store and ask?
*laughs*

Okay it's time for newbie special once again hehe and that's why this wasn't in this Comiket and that is fine I saw them and they count towards my quota you're welcome, this is Janome Yuiha's first ever illustration book for Comitia 148!! And that's why I don't say all of them are for this doujin event specifically because yes I saw this before I even ordered the first pre-order batch, so you can't stop me from liking what is essentially animal ears and lingerie on Anime girls, it's just a great combination. *giggles* Anyways haha, these sketches might be a bit rough they are still rather new to the industry I understand that's why we give them chance here, but also can't you appreciate how good this is though? I mean, just take a look, you will not be disappointed. I walked in expecting a lot since they got a hard-earned slot here and they delivered, definitely reminded me of the underdog that was Sano Hiyori-sensei last year. *thumbs up*

ๆœฌย Janome Yuiha "MIMI X STYLE"

And the free gift (which by the way still exists) is a postcard of the cover girl!
Nice, very nice.
*thumbs up*

A day of fixing problems in this blog... at work later... (Haha TGIF dude)

Final Day of reviews: What we might have missed from the past, and what to expect from the future
(Hopefully this one won't get flagged unlike yesterday lol)

Oh this is their 3rd original book?
Also what is with the kindergarten level drawing lol

Okay let's get the last stretch going!! This is not going to be the newest stuff but it's new to me and boy have I waited for this for a while MONTHS in the planning, this is gozmi-sensei's latest illustration book released last Comiket!! Can confirm they are Korean their homepage literally leads to Korean drawing courses, but damn look what they have raised, such a fine talent of an illustrator, sorry if I took this long to give you anything despite following your Pixiv for a while. This C103 one I'm particularly interested in because the original book's theme is, as you might see, starring a vampire girl! Yeah, is this unique or what? No summer, no bikini, no just wet stuff (lol), 100% vampire. And vampire they are, this is not some Anime "Demi-chan" girl who just drinks blood once a week- You'll get this real soon. *giggles* Other than that, I like their drawings it is rather uniquely them, and the unique theme only makes this even better. See if this can "bite" you on your tastes, yeah? *dabs*

ๆœฌย gozmi "Vampire Diary"

This book is so cool for once I tweaked my phone camera settings to a cooler tone.
*dabs*

Hey yeah we are ending this illustrator feature with a bang maybe don't say too soon but this is our other contender from last year worthy of mention again this year, this is Komizuki's illustration book for last year's Comiket!! No, not the last summer one, I got that book it was their first *dabs* because I'm talking about the sequel! Last time they delivered a square book if you would recall, this one we are just dealing with cool girls! Again, I'm still amazed on illustrators who can just make art without being suggestive and/or indecent, but now that I look at this I am somehow disappointed since their social media had WAY better images- What happened to those I saw on Pixiv?? Haha they got cred now, they have leverage maybe we see that one the next book- No, no more next time, brother, this is as cool as you get. *giggles*

ๆœฌย Komizuki "COOL MODE"

Don't worry about it this is for the thumbnail .
*laughs*

And last but not least to wrap this all up, let's start us off the ground by seeing what else the doujin industry has to offer! Well, (I know there is the sexy version but this is not that and I'm not going to link to it because this is)ย the purer version of Melonbooks catalogue for this Comiket may not be the best or most impartial place to showcase talent as you will see why in a bit hehe some of them we have reviewed are in it too, but it's a great time to see illustrators in a range of styles, and yeah, I'll show more this time around if you guys don't mind. I will link their social in case you are interested. Go support them though, show them some love on social media if you can't buy them boobs books like I do- F**K!! *laughs*

ๆœฌย Melonbooks Girls Collection -Hana-

Oh boy what a week this has been. *giggles* Yes, it might be just minutes to you here but it is a whole week of effort for me, and I'll probably continue to update this until it reaches perfection which frankly speaking might never happen considering these guys did it better, so I will get close enough that AI can't copy my level of dedication. *dabs*ย

I would also like to express my regrets to the many, MANY ILLUSTRATORS who I said I have wanted to talk about them but have not even this year since last year and whoever jumped the ship at the wrong time including *takes deep breath* okay I'm not going to do that a bunch of links look like cr*p so IF you see a table below means I have listed them accordingly in order to not offend them since I didn't support them even through online means I AM SO SORRY maybe next year don't cancel me:
*Assume all C104 books unless specified, with links to social

Not Shortlisted for C104
Not Qualified for This Order

I think I should stop making AI art- People just draw better. *giggles*

So yeah, as you can see, a lot has went through my mind planning for this yearly... "review". *silence* Well, that shall be all, it is late already I gotta ensure EVERY SINGLE THING here works and it should be by the time you see this, so I hope you enjoyed looking at this super big teaser into the doujin industry again as much as I did. *wink* Also super big hole on my wallet haha I need to plan how to execute this better and maybe cheaper soon.

Maybe I just go back to bulk buying used bromides haha the review is also way faster. *laughs*

P.S. As with all the stuff here, I like to think that one must leverage between "the subtle and the obvious", as quoted by my beloved British sitcom. You can't be too subtle until I just stare at it and not be impressed, and you can't be too obvious for me to think it's just rack. *laughs* So you see, there is an art in balancing that, though that doesn't mean it has to be.

SubtleObvious

No, not going to put them on a scale I'm too tired for that thanks
