I feel like I need to explain myself before I start. *giggles* Also, it's specifically Amazon Japan because they can't directly ship to where I live anyways. *laughs*

That's not the point to be fair this was because I had to pad the order from Tenso which threw me into a panic read yesterday's post I can't even *ugh* but since I have decided to open the doors for a quick weekend review of this year's art books and yes they are from the people we know... or will know real soon lol, so take this as a warm-up for the Comiket stuff coming in... next month. *giggles*

And I mean it when I say quick, so let's not reveal too much but still show what my journey with doujin artists since 3 years ago has to offer!!




WHY AMAZON
Short answer? Because Tenso. *laughs*

Long answer... well it's mainly because I want to talk about art books but we know they are quite a lot of content in it and I don't want to explain a narrative out of all these books I should be enjoying myself for the most part, and shipping them one by one is going to be as inconvenient for weekday night reviews (because I'm an adult and have a job *sob*) so ever since 3 years ago with the first doujinshi run in the Comiket back then... I have said no to thick books and only geared in the thin books direction as I have named the series so far.

But as doujin artists get recognition or for anniversary purposes, they will have the capacity to release such compilations or art books with brand new content and themes from a publisher which, unlike the thin books sold which just rely on printing companies releasing books EXACTLY to what they want, now has production overhead and that kind of stuff, but that doesn't mean it's bad. It is recognition in a more general level, with each artist's appeal shown in full detail, and them surfacing into mainstream is generally a good thing in a world of fake artwork and such which are proliferating as we speak.

Amazon Japan is easily the best place to get these books because of its fast shipping and that's the reason why I used this to pad the order on Tenso so I can justify the shipping fees which didn't make it any better so this is just a consolation to nobody *sob* lol, is also done mainly because, and I wish I could pre-order these or make efforts to buy them as they appear... is that they are popular, artists and their books alike, and as much as I want to cater to each order just like I do with CDs just so I can get the special gifts from of all places Melonbooks haha, but no, this is the first of many I hope in the future so just like voice actress photobooks, I'm doing this as a batch for the first time around. *wink*

This will also be a pledge to showcasing more of our regular doujin artists over time with the once-in-a-while art book reviews similar to how I started with Nakamura Yuusuke-sensei earlier in the year, and looking at you Miwano Ragu-sensei, there might be more of those coming up, so stay tuned for those I guess. Oh I guess we should upgrade their statuses to "illustrators" too, seeing that the former is literally one and all of them mentioned here would have been at some point, so they can hop into this circle.

But at this point, I just want to title my posts properly and seasons make no sense so... this will do. *laughs*

(FYI not talking about recent events or explain anything else about Japan's indie artists because this isn't an event to do so, I'll leave that to next month when I review Comiket 108)

So first up, let me say sorry for screwing up your name once again gozmi- *laughs* This is gomzi-sensei's first ever art book!!! *giggles* Don't worry I fixed my mistakes ever since I knew them from 2024 with the vampire girl that took over my brain and yes she can suck me off- But (lol) we know that isn't all of the Sensei's works, as seen from their profile and social media, you would notice there is a certain elegance that comes out from their art which uh... this book miiiight have ruined it for me haha but it was good for most of the time, but they have proven themselves capable of drawing stunning artworks not and including being character designers for VTubers which yes Monday-chan is in this LMAO SUCK IT get it because vampire girl original character also is- *laughs* They have also participated in doujin events here and there, but of course due to the strict lineup and lower priority for regulars I feel like, this is the compensation for all the events I have missed getting your illustration books, and you are very welcome. The book is chocked full of illustrations of beautiful (sometimes cute) girls and the book is huge so it's all the details amplified for our viewing pleasure, and I think waiting a couple of months after this released to get my hands on it was worth it. Hope I'm not too late!! *dabs*

Next up, and I think it's obligation now that I can NEVER buy their thin books because they aren't thin anyways, and I don't think they need me to support them even more because this is Harakenshi-sensei's first ever art book!!! Yes, the one comic series that I did from 2025 don't count. *giggles* But they have been doing this since 2021 already it seems from their profile description, and ironically not going the credit route and making their line of original girls (actually, 4 of them) so much so we have reached a point of no return as to how lovely they have portrayed themselves (Sensei, of their girls) and the lore behind them is TOTALLY worth giving more recognition to them after their published comic book which isn't even one, it's more along the lines of "Ganbare Douki-chan" if you remember of that series. *giggles* Still, I think it's no surprise I would include them in the lineup just because they deserve every bit of it, because their lore is the types I like the most, with captions as dialogue so to give you more content of the scene behind each character and they have introduced even MORE girls since the last time I talked about them, so I'll let the images talk for themselves. *blessed*

And last but not least and this is already ironic that I'm talking about them BEFORE their Comiket illustration book but to be fair to me this should've been a thing in the previous event, so you can't see but I'm doing dogeza on the floor- This is Mashiro Kta-sensei's first ever art book!!! *giggles* No really, if this lore between me and them isn't long enough, then CLEARLY you didn't read the outro on the winter Comiket review I did on my birthday earlier this year. Long story short they got shortchanged by others what a surprise but that's also because they introduced their new girl and not the regular one I know and have now loved, but that don't matter now because we are slated (with the summer Comiket's pre-order batch) to talk about them again next month, so you're welcome Sensei for another mention just because. But I do worry now for the overlap because chances are we may see the same things once again similar to Harakenshi-sensei but fret not, I have checked here and I don't see those in the previews on the new book, so we should be safe. *giggles* Speaking of safe, their artworks are also rather safe compared to the above somehow and I would say gomzi-sensei's are too, but heck, just based on (flat) (lol) girls and their distinctive belt and jersey outfits? I would easily mistake them for who is that, Hamunezuko-sensei who I ALSO won't be talking about them anytime soon but totally should, so jump the queue or whatever you will, I guess I shall cover them first! This is also likely the least content...ful? Of the 3 books here but I don't think that matters considering its character focus. I feel like I just walked past a treasure chest and didn't bother to open this gem. And I'm glad that I did now. *dabs* And again for next month! *dabs*

So PLEASE go support them and buy these books so you got something decent to decorate your room instead of having to explain those figurines to your next guest for the nth time and that's why they don't want to visit your place anymore. *cringe* Haha so yeah PLEASE either follow them to show your support or even better, buy these and see the marvels for yourself, AI is going to be harsh on them and I still want to see human draw things... for Japan lol, so yeah, I shall stop here!!
